About Me
Welcome to TD Kitchen! My name is Taylor DiBiase and I am the founder and chef of the business that began as a passion project. I am locally based in Bayport, New York where I am living out my dreams to bake for my community. The journey to get here has been a rewarding learning experience of running a small business while being a full time student.
What started as a young passion of mine, my pastry business has has flourished from the support of my family, chefs, and community. It has transformed my dreams into a reality of a success small business I have been running since 2020.
Beginning with sharing recipes on Instagram live to now selling across Long Island, I cannot wait for future expansions!
Starting from a young age, I would follow my dad around the kitchen as he would make dishes for everyday family dinner, holidays, and celebrations. This constant environment of family and food has driven my passion for the industry, finding joy in the happiness of my clients.
Attending Bayport-Blue Point High School I had the transformative opportunity to attend Eastern Suffolk BOCES for two years. This program laid the foundations for my success today thanks to my chefs for the instruction and nomination for various competitions. During my time, I placed 2nd in the Ready, Set, Cook Competition, received The Morgan Center Scholarship presented by ACFLI Chefs, competed as the first high school student in the Student Pastry Chef of the Year where I received a bronze medal, and was chosen as the ACF Student Chef of the Year for 2024!
Currently I am pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Pastry Arts at Johnson and Wales University, with two minors in Entrepreneurship and Sommelier Management. At a collegiate level, I am dedicated to refining my skills and continuing to challenge myself to improve in my craft. This year I had the honor of receiving my distinction as a Certified Pastry Chef following months of preparation for a menu specifically tailored to showcase my abilities.
My success is the combination of hard work and dedication, but also the support of many along the way. Thank you to everyone who has been by my side since I was a little girl with big dream!
